Take Your Dog to Work Day was started by Pet Sitters International (PSI) in 1999 and is celebrated annually the first Friday after Father’s Day. PSI created the day to celebrate the great companions dogs make and encourage their adoptions from local shelters, rescue groups and humane societies. In 2014, Take Your Dog to Work Day falls on June 20, and take your pet to work week is June 16 to June 20. Great bosses are always looking for something to break the monotony, so tell your boss that you will organize your company’s take your dog to work day.
