Most Dangerous Foods for Dogs

Do you know which foods, drinks, and other substances are harmful to your dog and what symptoms they cause? Below we list just some of the items to keep away from your pup and why. Alcohol- Coma, death, intoxication

Cooked Bones- Stomach lacerations

Dairy- Too much dairy can cause diarrhea

Mushrooms- Some varieties can lead to shock death

Caffeine- Vomiting, diarrhea, toxic to the heart and nervous system

Human Medicine (Tylenol, Advil, Etc.)- Kidney failure, GI ulcers

Avocado- Contains persin which causes vomiting and diarrhea

Walnuts and Macadamias- Nervous system and muscle damage

Onions and too much Garlic- Blood cell damage, anemia

Grapes and Raisins- Kidney failure

Peaches and Plums- Intestinal obstruction, pits contain cyanide

Fatty Foods- Too much can cause pancreatitis

Chocolate- Toxic to the heart and the nervous system, death

Gum and Candy- Some sugar-free sweets contain Xylitol which can lead to liver failure, hypoglycemia, and even death
