Increase Your Chances of Finding a Lost Pet

May 26, 2014 in Aerowood Animal Hospital

The ASPCA published a study about lost pets and the most effective methods for finding them. They surveyed more than 1,000 households across the country. Fifteen percent had lost a pet within the past five years, and 85% of those pets had been recovered. The survey results suggest three key activities for recovering a lost pet.

1. Search immediately when you realize the pet is lost.

2. Visually search through your neighborhood first. Then add posters and online searches.

3. Check local shelters from the first day your pet is lost.
